Bayport-Blue School District’s Sylvan Avenue Elementary recognized the community’s first responders with a special celebration. The event began with a firetruck and police car parade in which student and staff spectators cheered as sirens and flashing lights lit up the school’s front circle. Suffolk County Police Officer Gayer then gave an exciting and informative K-9 demonstration.
