The Suffolk County Council, Boy Scouts of America, is inviting ALL Suffolk County families, even those that are not currently involved in Scouting, to attend a FREE Family Fun Day. It is being held on December 11th from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM, and includes a barbeque lunch and numerous activities.
“Scouting is thriving in Suffolk County, and we want all of our families in the county to know that nothing, not even Covid, stops a Scout or Scouting,” which is why District Executive Kimberly Russell is asking all of our non- Scouter families to consider joining Scouts for a fun day this Saturday.
The family fun day will be held at the Baiting Hollow Scout Camp, located at 1774 Sound Avenue in Calverton. Some of the kid-friendly activities scheduled are Gaga Pit Fit, Nature Hike to the Beach, and shooting at the Archery and BB Range. A delicious barbeque lunch will be served by the Campfire.
No cost registration is required, so that the Council can effectively plan the food, equipment and supplies or the day. Don’t miss out…Parents can sign up today at www.sccbsa.org/familyfun.
David Hunt, President of the Suffolk County Council, said, “This be will be a great day for Suffolk County families to join us, escape the indoors, and enjoy the day at our beautiful Baiting Hollow Scout Camp!”
