County Executive Laura Curran joined the residents of Hempstead for a community event to celebrate the start of summer. The event, hosted by Curran for Nassau and Nassau County Democratic Committee, offered residents the opportunity to engage in family fun while connecting with their local Democratic candidates.
“It is wonderful to join Nassau residents in some well-deserved summer fun,” said County Executive Laura Curran. “I am proud of the part my administration played in making this return to normal a reality. We are getting residents vaccinated and revving Nassau’s local economy through financial support and investment. Nassau is taking back summer and coming back stronger than ever.”
Now that 80% of adults and 66.5% of Nassau’s total population has received at least one vaccination, County residents can safely gather with friends, loved ones, and neighbors in-person.
All summer long, County Executive Curran will meet with residents and small business owners to continue her advocacy and keep a finger on the pulse of Nassau County. The County Executive is guiding millions in federal stimulus to make critical investments in Nassau’s future, while ensuring Nassau’s economy has immediate access to the grants and aid needed today for a robust recovery. County Executive Laura Curran is leading Nassau through reopening and into the next chapter.
