Syosset Girls Softball League to Enhance Syosset-Woodbury Park with New Scoreboard

Oyster Bay Town Supervisor Joseph Saladino and the Town Board commend the Syosset Youth Athletic Council Girls Softball League for the generous donation of a new scoreboard at Syosset-Woodbury Community Park. This new lighted scoreboard will be installed next to the softball field, which will enhance the ball-playing experience at the park while also enhancing its aesthetics.

“We are thankful to the Syosset Youth Athletic Council Girls Softball League for this generous donation of a new lighted scoreboard, which will only serve to better the experience for all who utilize the fields,” said Supervisor Saladino. “This donation, made possible by the Town’s fantastic working relationship with the Syosset Youth Athletic Council, its president Michael Rogers, and board members, Joel Liss, Jimmy Saridis, and Neal Schack, as this scoreboard will bring much needed aesthetic improvement to the field, and increased functionality for all leagues that utilize the fields. On behalf of the Town Board, I thank the Syosset Youth Athletic Council for their charitable donation.”

The total cost of the scoreboard donation to Syosset-Woodbury Park amounts to nearly $10,000, the entirety of which will be covered by the Syosset Youth Athletic Council.
