Summer Recreation’s Online Registration Begins On June 3rd

The Town of Smithtown Recreation Department will begin online Registration for the 2024 Summer Guide starting June 3rd. Mail in registrations will start on Monday June 10th.

Programming includes seasonal favorites such as the playground camp, day trips for adults (18 Yrs +) and the ever popular Summer Concert Series at Hoyt Farm and Long Beach. Additionally this year’s roster of Summer fun includes the all new Camp SMILE; a recreational experience for children with developmental disabilities and the Adult Socialization Program for adults with special needs who often experience higher barriers to participation in sports and socialization. The 2024 Summer Guide offers a wide variety of sports programming, specialized classes and training, beach and all day camps, mind & body classes such as yoga, tai chi, & meditation, water sports, martial arts, horseback riding, and the ever popular sport trend of pickleball! Parent/Child classes, mixed media programming for children, and adult softball leagues are also featured in the annual lineup. Whatever your summer enjoyment might be… the Smithtown Recreation 2024 Summer Guide has it!

“Smithtown Summer Guide has something for every resident and registration is beyond reasonable. This program has grown and improved annually thanks to the great team at Recreation with support from departments such as the Youth Bureau who is spearheading the Adaptive Sports program. The guide features unique classes such as windsurfing, horseback riding, and pickleball which my office gets about a dozen calls a week for. Also featured are useful classes such as junior lifeguard certification, and relaxing days on the Nissequogue River on our canoe trips. The Smithtown Recreation Department has put forth an exciting Summer season of activities for all to enjoy and have really outdone themselves this year.” – Supervisor Edward R. Wehrheim
The catalog featuring the 2024 program arrived last week in mailboxes. However, anyone can login to the Town of Smithtown Website, and download a digital copy of the book on the homepage or by visiting: https://www.smithtownny.gov/447/Recreation-Guide-and-Updates
