Racanelli Construction Company Provides A Special Meal For Families Families Staying At The Ronald McDonald House Of Long Island

Families residing at the Ronald McDonald House of Long Island in New Hyde Park, NY (https://www.rmhcnym.org/rmh_houses) while seeking medical treatment for their children at nearby hospitals, were treated to a special meal prepared by staff members from Racanelli Construction Company, Inc., (Melville, NY, www.racanelliconstruction.com), a leading construction management, general contractor, and design/build resource for commercial, 1industrial, retail, medical, pre-engineered, and multi-unit residential projects.

The Racanelli team, which included members representing various departments, were on hand on Monday, September 11th, 2023 to participate in the Ronald McDonald House’s Meals from the Heart program which enlists volunteers from all walks of life to cook a meal for the residents of the House. The Racanelli chose September 11th for the day to participate in this program as a way to honor those who lost their lives in the  terrorist attacks of 9/11.  The group prepared a delicious meal of sausage and peppers on garlic bread with sides of pasta and garden salads. Dessert also was provided to the residents. Over 100 to-go containers were prepared and ready for the residents of the Ronald McDonald House of Long Island to enjoy.

The Ronald McDonald House of Long Island serves as a “home away from home” for families whose seriously ill children are being treated at local hospitals. The House, which is right next door to Cohen’s Children’s Hospital, has served the Long Island/NY Metro region for decades. Even families from across the nation and the world seeking medical treatment in the region also are welcomed at the house.

In addition to their participation in the Meals from the Heart program, Racanelli employees had the opportunity to meet with Ronald McDonald House of Long Island CEO Matt Campo and tour the facility. A spokesperson for Racanelli Construction Company stated, “We are proud to support local nonprofits like the Ronald McDonald House of Long Island, which strives to build stronger communities and help those in need.”
