PGA TOUR Superstore Ribbon Cutting

PGA TOUR Superstore, the country’s premier specialty retailer for golf has ushered in a new experience for Smithtown-area residents. Focused on growing the game and helping people play their best, PGA TOUR Superstore recently opened its doors to the community at 84 Jericho Turnpike in Commack.

The 39,109 square foot facility located in Mayfair Chopping Center features six Practice and Play hitting bays in a social setting where friends and family can play together. Customers can also practice putting on the 1,260 square foot putting green. The Commack location also offers custom club fitting with its STUDIO™, an additional four simulators and lessons from certified teaching professionals for golfers of all abilities.

“Our customer-experience mentality is unmatched in the golf specialty retail business. Combine that with our professional expertise, interactive environment and everything needed to play, we inspire beginners to avid golfers to have fun and enjoy the game,” said Jill Thomas, Chief Marketing Officer, PGA TOUR Superstore.

There are nearly 70 golf courses in the greater Smithtown community and rounds played in the region are up more than 15 percent compared to last year according to Golf Datatech. “Commack was an obvious location to expand our presence on Long Island and they are off to a great start,” added Thomas.

As part of the grand opening celebration, PGA TOUR Superstore gave away $30,000 in merchandise to the first guests in line – campers began waiting in line the Thursday afternoon ahead of the Saturday opening. In addition, they donated $15,000 to its long-time charitable partner, First Tee of Metropolitan New York. Community support is part of PGA TOUR Superstore’s core values – the company’s leadership and team of Associates are committed to supporting the positive impact sports has on youth development.
