The New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation (State Parks) is hiring new lifeguards for the summer season with no prior certification required. There are positions available at Montauk/Hither Hills, Wildwood, Orient, Jones Beach, Robert Moses, Heckscher & Sunken Meadow State Parks.
New York State Park lifeguards must meet certain eligibility criteria, which includes successfully completing the qualifying procedure, before being hired. Applicants must have 20/70 uncorrected vision in both eyes corrected to 20/40. Contact lenses or glasses are not permitted. Lifeguards will be hired at $17.41 an hour.
The qualifying procedure will be held on Sunday June 20th at 7:30AM at Jones Beach West Bathhouse. Please park in Field 4.
