Long Island State Parks To Host 28th Annual Winter Run Series

The New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation is pleased to announce that the Long Island State Park Region will host its 28th annual Winter Run Series beginning January 2023.

The series will begin Sunday, January 8 at Heckscher State Park. Additional runs will be held January 15 at Robert Moses State Park, January 22 at Sunken Meadow State Park, and January 29th at Jones Beach State Park. All races are themed, 5K in length, and will start at 11 a.m.

Registration is open for full series signups. Runners can register online at https://events.elitefeats.com/23nyswinter. Full Series Registration will close when the maximum amount of 1,100 registrants is reached.

The entry fee for full series registration is $50.00 and day-of-race registration is $20.00 per race. Day- of-race registration is accepted until the night before each race.
