Suffolk County Legislator Sarah Anker joined Heritage Trust Board Members Victoria Hazan, Brad Feldman, Bree Devereux, Heritage Trust member Nicholas Pennington at the Heritage Trust Food Drive.
On Saturday, April 18, Suffolk County Legislator Sarah Anker participated in the Heritage Trust Food Drive at Heritage Park in Mount Sinai. The food drive was held to support those who have lost their jobs due to the COVID-19 pandemic and collect donations for local food pantries. Donations were accepted at the Heritage Center while maintaining social distance.
Another food drive will be taking place this Saturday, April 25, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Heritage Park in Mount Sinai.
“I would like to thank our community for its incredible generosity during this time,” said Legislator Anker. “I encourage everyone to do what they can to help their neighbors in need.”
“I want to give a huge thank you shoutout to the community for an overwhelming response to our food drive,” said Heritage Trust President Victoria Hazan. “Many gracious families will benefit, and I hope for another amazing turnout for this coming Saturday.”
