Fractured Fairytale Celebration

Showing off their creativity and literacy skills, fifth graders in Ms. Dean’s class at Woods Road Elementary School in the North Babylon School District held a fairytale celebration on March 7. Dressed as some of their favorite fairy tale characters, students showcased their writing skills in front of their peers as they shared their fracture fairytales. The fractured fairy tales take one element of a typical fairytale adds a twist, changes the storyline/characters, or modernizes it. Some of updated fairytales included “Crazy Snow White,” “Three Little Ants’ Victory,” “Escape Cinderella,” “The Three Little Pigs Go to School” and “Tangled in the Scissor Madness.”
