For two weeks in July, elementary-aged students in the Copiague School District had the opportunity to participate in summer enrichment programs at Great Neck Road Elementary School. Incoming first through six graders rotated through a variety of different activities throughout the program.
Approximately 270 Copiague students registered for the program, where they were provided transportation, as well as breakfast and lunch daily. Students rotated between different activities including arts and crafts, sports, dance and movement and enrichment. In addition, the district offered a music program during the two-week period for interested elementary students to practice their instruments and hone their skills with their peers.
