As part of their family and consumer science unit on childcare, Elwood Middle School students visited the school’s library at the end of the school year to learn about reading to younger children. While looking at picture books, they determined the ideal target age for each book and learned how to ask questions to spark conversations, then practiced the skill of reading aloud.
