Seventh graders in Diana Cotrone’s general music classes at Deer Park’s Robert Frost Middle School recently finished a unique unit on bucket drumming, using both traditional and nontraditional techniques of music. Students learned how to read notation and perform while also getting the opportunity to compose their own songs at the culmination of the course.
