Dawnwood Middle School was honored to welcome Kevin LaValle, Brookhaven’s Town Clerk, as he visited the school to assist in the annual pajama drive collection this holiday season. The drive collects pajama donations for the Town of Brookhaven Interface Program which distributes pajamas to thousands of families in need every year.
Principal Daniel Katchihtes expressed his gratitude for the overwhelming support received from the Dawnwood Middle School community. He stated, “We are incredibly proud of our students and their commitment to helping others. Their generosity and empathy are truly inspiring, and we are honored to be able to contribute to such a worthy cause.”
The visit from Town Clerk LaValle was a significant moment for Dawnwood Middle School, as it highlighted the importance of community involvement and giving back during the holiday season. Thanks to the generosity and compassion of the Dawnwood Middle School community, over 100 pairs of pajamas were donated to the pajama drive.
