Second graders in Ms. LoSardo’s class at South Bay Elementary School in the West Babylon School District are learning how to count money using both bills and coins. Students were given a toy catalog to cut out items that they would want to purchase and write down prices using coins or bills or both. Students had to learn to budget their money and add up all the money they spent in total.
