Belmont’s Battleship Bot Challenge

Students at Belmont Elementary School in the North Babylon School District tried their hand at a reimagined and updated version of the classic boardgame Battleship. During a Makerspace lesson on June 7 with library media specialist Jennifer Olsen, students worked in teams for the Battleship Robot Challenge. Using their small robots – BlueBots and Dash – students worked together to code their bots to move across the board to the different squares and sink their opponents’ battleships.
