West Babylon Junior High School students had a special interactive presentation with author Jen Calonita on Oct. 27. Ms. Calonita is a bestselling author of more than 30 books for teens and middle grades. Her books have sold more than 1 million copies. Ms. Calonita spoke to the students about her career and her work at Teen People before becoming an author. She told the students about her writing process and the ingredients for a good story. The students then worked on a creative writing assignment together. At the end of the presentation, Ms. Calonita autographed copies of her most recent book for the students.
