The following is a press release from Hope Children’s Fund, a non-profit organization that provides for the physical and emotional needs of the most vulnerable AIDS affected orphans in Kenya.
Dear Friends of Hope Children’s Fund,
In this time of crisis, we hope you and your family remain safe and healthy. Certainly, the world is a better place with kind people like you in it.
We maintain our commitment to the orphans and vulnerable children we support. Please know they are safe and in a healthy environment. Schools and most businesses in Kenya are now closed. Our staff is doing everything possible to maintain high health standards.
The current crisis has required us to cancel many of our fundraising activities. As a grass roots organization, this loss of income will severely affect our efforts to support the education of our orphans. We are asking for your help. Some donors have already committed their federal stimulus check to the effort. Your donation at this time can provide the following needed services:
1. $30 feeds the entire orphanage for a day.
2. $60 provides a new mattress for a child.
3. $100 provides a bunkbed.
4. $210 feeds the orphanage for a week.
5. $1,000 will be used for our infrastructure fund.
All $1,000 donors will be honored on a plaque in our dining hall.
We realize these are difficult times for us all. Please consider making a donation so that we can continue to help some of the world’s most vulnerable children. Any amount you can provide will be greatly appreciated.
Please send your donation to Hope Children’s Fund, P.O. Box 387, Setauket, NY 11733, or donate via PayPal on our website, www.hopechildrensfund.org. Stay safe!
