West Babylon Senior High School celebrated the artistic talents of its students at the 14th National Art Honor Society induction ceremony on March 26. National Art Honor Society adviser Mrs. Bodolai welcomed guests to the ceremony and commended the students for their commitment to the arts. “You continue to express yourself in the arts,” she said. “Keeping shining your artistic light on the world.”
The National Art Honor Society students have showcased their abilities throughout the school and community, including worldwide events like the Memory Project. To qualify for the National Art Honor Society, students must maintain a high grade point average in art classes and engage in art activities beyond the school day. “Your artistic talent and drive for academic excellence is an inspiration to both your teachers and your peers,” Ms. Bodolai added. “You are a shining example of why art is a vital component in education.”
Congratulations to the newest inductees: Sarah Caltabiano, Chloe DeAngelis, Adam Gosline, Kylah Hicklin, Emma Hooton, Elizabeth Lopez, Casey Villegas-Martinez, Merary Martinez, Dheera Misra, Katelyn Moar, Katiemae Murray, Illary Ortega, Nandini Ramesh, Paige Rizzo, Joara Rivera, Samantha Rojos, Grace Sjoholm and Mikayla Tournu.
