Members of the North Babylon Lions Club presented a donation to the North Babylon School District prior to the April 20 board of education meeting. Robert Moses Middle School teacher Tracy Jacquemain reached out to the club earlier this year, asking for donations for the Robert Moses Caring Closet. The closet collects small nonperishable food items, clothing items and school supplies for students in need. The Lions Club decided to help and also offer donations to all the schools in the district. They provided a $200 check for each of the five elementary schools’ Caring Closets, the Robert Moses Middle School Caring Closet and the North Babylon High School Food Pantry – a total of $1,400 for the North Babylon Schools outreach programs.
