Under the direction of co-advisers Ms. Abran and Ms. Zaleski, the Academy Street Elementary School Peer Leaders club took to the adjacent baseball fields and spent the afternoon picking up trash on the field its perimeter. The activity was an activity to celebrate Earth Day and to make the planet and the community a better place to live.
Ms. Abran said the students enjoyed the service project which helped them forge a connection with their community.
