With fall officially here Farmingdale Village announces several upcoming community events planned.
Farmingdale Columbus Weekend Fair – October 7-10, 2022 – planned by the Farmingdale Fire Department: Carnival rides, games, live music, magic shows, raffles (behind the Firehouse, weather permitting). Magic Shows: 10/8 at 3 pm and 10/9 at 4pm. Live Music: 7- 10:30 pm: Friday 10/7 – Electric Dudes, Saturday 10/8 – Acoustic Overlook, Sunday 10/9 Superbad. Street fair along Main Street, 10 am – 4 pm, 10/8 & 10/9 (Rain Date: 10/15 & 10/16, if 1-date needed will be 10/15). Parade down Main Street on 10/9 at 6 pm. Family fun for everyone! Culper Spy Ring Lecture/Book Signing featuring Bill Bleyer – Sunday, October 23, 2 pm at Village Hall – Free lecture, limited seating inside Village Hall, registration required by 10/20. Farmingdale Halloween Parade, Family Fun – Pony Rides, Petting Zoo – Saturday October 29, at 2 pm. Come in Costume: Parade along Main Street from Northside Elementary School to the Village Green at 2pm (parade marchers & groups gather by 1:45 pm at Northside Elementary School); followed by Family Fun On the Village Green: Pony Rides, Petting Zoo, Costume Contest, and Farmingdale Chamber of Commerce members will have candy for the kids. Save the Date: Start planning your creations! 9th Annual Long Island Gingerbread House Contest – Saturday, December 10, Noon – 4 pm at The Chocolate Duck, 310 Main Street. Start planning your creations and come see the amazing entries at the event – vote for the People’s Choice award with prizes to be awarded (contest open to children, adults & professional bakers). Farmers Market On the Village Green by Schneider’s Farm, held weekly on Sundays through 11/20/22, 10 am-2 pm, weather permitting, 361 Main Street. Shop and dine local while in town.
