The Women’s Club of Farmingdale (WCF) is very excited to announce that seven new members have joined their team!  On Thursday, April 6, at Palmer’s American Grille, WCF Membership Chair Loda Romanelli installed Doreen Calderone, Gayle Garthwaite, Jill Handley, Linda Hayes, Debbie Podolski, Therese Rudden and Annamarie Vallani and presented each lady with a beautiful plant of yellow tulips. Prior to their installation, the new members were invited to a “New Member Tea” hosted by Loda Romanelli and President Barbara Hoerner.  The new members received a club handbook outlining GFWC International and NYS affiliations, State Honor Roll and Order of the Rose members, a list of past presidents, dates to remember, a list of current, associate and honorary members, standing and ad hoc committees, and club procedures and by-laws according to Robert’s Rules, etc.  Both Romanelli and Hoerner commented that it was immediately apparent that these new members will be an amazing addition to the club as they displayed so much enthusiasm. Welcome Aboard!

Once again in March, the General Federation of Women’s Clubs, Inc. (GFWC) Island Metro District Cultural Arts event was held to showcase art and crafts made by local high school students and club members.  Hosted by Director Vicky Impollonia, we congratulate all the winners:
