Juniors and seniors at Ward Melville High School in the Three Village Central School District faced off against one another during the annual holiday volleyball tournament. The tournament is the culmination of the volleyball unit in physical education. Throughout the unit, students sharpen their volleyball skills and are put into teams for the bracket-style competition. The championship game took place on Dec. 23, leading up to the holiday break.

The physical education department organizes the final game, inviting juniors and seniors to fill the stands of the gymnasium. During timeouts and in between sets, students in the audience are invited to the court to participate in games including musical chairs and a “pizza-serving” activity. The event brought together the Ward Melville High School community while getting students excited about the upcoming break.
