Walsh Honors Syosset H.S. Senior For Work With Disadvantaged Girls Around The World

Oyster Bay Town Supervisor Joseph Saladino and his colleagues on the Town Board recently honored Syosset High School Senior Sabrina Guo for her distinguished activism and humanitarian efforts that have impacted the lives of countless young women across the world. Sabrina is the CEO and Founder of Girl Pride International, a global girl’s empowerment organization which serves disadvantaged girls with access to resources like education, academic scholarships, mentoring and counseling, ambassadorships, workshops, and other forms of empowerment.

“Sabrina is an ardent young woman who has accumulated an extensive legacy of accomplishments at such a young age,” said Councilwoman Vicki Walsh. “She truly embodies the spirit of the famous Sarah Ban Breathnach quote, ‘The world needs dreamers and the world needs doers, but above all the world needs dreamers who do.’ Thank you, Sabrina, for all that you do, and we wish you continued success in your future endeavors.”

Aside from her social, entrepreneurial, and humanitarian endeavors, Sabrina is also an award-winning journalist, poet, musician, and model. Recently, Sabrina was honored by Point of Light, an international nonpartisan nonprofit founded by President George H.W. Bush in 1989, honoring individuals and organizations who have changed the world.
