In honor of World Language Month, Udall Road Middle School in the West Islip Union Free School District held its annual International Festival on March 22. The English as a New Language and World Language teachers provided students in all grades with the opportunity to visit booths with English Language Learner students and World Language students to learn about various cultures and languages. The students received a “passport,” which they filled with the information they received at each booth. Winners were awarded prizes for obtaining the most correct information. The event helps foster global citizenship while also developing the skills necessary for West Islip’s Profile of a Graduate.
