Town Officials Celebrate Dogfest To Benefit Nonprofit Canine Companions

Oyster Bay Town Supervisor Joseph Saladino, Councilman Steve Labriola, Councilwoman Laura Maier, and Receiver of Taxes Jeff Pravato joined local neighbors and their pets to celebrate Dogfest Long Island. This event benefits Canine Companions, a nonprofit that works to place expertly-trained service dogs to adults, children and veterans with disabilities, free of charge. Their mission is to help clients and their service dogs live with greater independence, and more than 400 people are currently waiting for their new canine partners. The event featured a fun day of games, inspiring speakers, activities for kids, service dog demonstrations and more.
