The Tri-M Music Honor Society Chapter #1338 from Smithtown High School West has been recognized as Chapter of the Year in New York State.
This is a very prestigious honor bestowed by the National Association for Music Education.
The district congratulates Orchestra Director Joseph Cotignola and student officers president Stephen Jung, vice president David Rubin, secretary Anabelle Kreitzman, public relations Justin Martin, historian James Corcoran and treasurer Katie Greening on this achievement.
This summer, the honor society will be given a commemorative banner for recognition of this outstanding accomplishment. The Tri-M Music Honor Society is the only national honor society for student musicians in the country.
