The Sisters of St. Joseph held their 27th Annual Golf Classic at The Village Club in Lake Success on September 18, 2023.

The heavy rains prohibited the golf portion of the program. However, that did not dampen the rest of the event. 300 attendees, who began arriving at 4PM, were personally welcomed by Sister Tesa Fitzgerald CSJ, President of the Sisters of St. Joseph. All enjoyed the evening, which began with a cocktail reception, dinner, and a special awards ceremony.

This year’s honorees were CSJ’s own Sister Angela Gannon, Eleanor Napolitano Scalzitti (posthumously), and Joseph Sciame.

Honorees’ stories were presented through a short video detailing each of their lives. They were each presented with an engraved gift by a special person in their lives.

The evening concluded with a very spirited auction. Guests were elated to find out if they were winners of raffle baskets or cash. The event raised over $100,000 for various congregational ministries.

The night was a wonderful example of the love and admiration felt for the honorees, and for the Sisters of St. Joseph.

The golf portion of the event has been rescheduled for Monday, October 23 at The Village Club in Lake Success at 8:00 a.m.
