Tour the Schedule is an annual tradition at Berner Middle School in the Massapequa School District, in which sixth, seventh and eighth graders are invited to walk the building and find their classes for the upcoming school year. Parents were welcome to join, as were older siblings whose familiarity with the school was beneficial, particularly to incoming sixth graders. This year’s Tour the Schedule kicked off on Aug. 29, with four two-hour sessions over three days. Dean of Students Robert Tucker, left, Principal Jason Esposito, center, and sixth grade teacher Matt Cunha greeted students and distributed building maps and locks to new sixth graders for their lockers.
