Reaching Higher Ground: Helping The Homeless One Golf Swing At A Time

Help New Ground and change the lives of homeless Veterans and families by supporting their 26th Annual Golf Tournament & Dinner. The event takes place on Monday, May 23, 2022 at Cherry Valley Club in Garden City. Your participation will have a lasting impact on the growing number of Long Island’s homeless, seeing they get essential services to become and remain self-sufficient.

After helping over 250 individuals last year, New Ground is reaching higher ground in 2022, doubling the capacity of their primary JumpStart program. This expansion provides their services for up to 50 households at a time! The agency has had tremendous success with this program helping Long Island’s homeless secure permanent, stable housing. Many more need New Ground’s specialized services as the crisis of homelessness on Long Island is deepening. Reports show that the economic crises have not had an equal impact on all: there are many who have been forced into poverty with the added costs of daily living. The agency needs your help to gift these Veterans and families with the hope of future permanent housing.

Your support of the Golf Tournament & Dinner allows you to help neighbors in need and experience a fantastic day of golf. New event features include: upgraded prizes for all tournament winners, cigar station on the course, and new ways to win with a chance to Beat the Pro. Enjoy returning favorites: the brunch Bloody Mary station, 50/50 Raffle on the Putting Green Challenge, Par 3 Hole-in-One prizes, and more!
