Panera Bread today announced the return of its annual Pink Ribbon Bagel fundraising campaign, which will take place at 41 participating bakery-café locations throughout Long Island, Queens, Brooklyn and Staten Island to raise awareness and funds for the American Cancer Society during October’s Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Shaped in the form of a pink ribbon and baked fresh each morning by Panera’s bakers, this limited-time cherry-vanilla bagel features a delicious combination of cherry chips, dried cherries and cranberries, vanilla, honey and brown sugar.

Throughout this month-long campaign, Panera Bread will donate a portion of the proceeds from its Pink Ribbon Bagel to the American Cancer Society, a nationwide, community-based voluntary health organization with a mission to save lives, celebrate lives and lead the fight for a world without cancer. Additionally, on Friday, October 9, Panera Bread will donate 100 percent of the proceeds from sales of its Pink Ribbon Bagel to the cause.

“We are proud to announce the return of Panera Bread’s annual Pink Ribbon Bagel fundraising campaign to help fight against cancer alongside our partner, The American Cancer Society,” said Greg George, vice-president of operations for quick casual and specialty concepts, Doherty Enterprises. “We take great pride in the continued success of this important initiative year after year and appreciate the ongoing support of customers through their support and contributions. We encourage our guests to enjoy this limited-time bakery item throughout October to help support a cause near and dear to our hearts.”

In an effort to build awareness and raise funds for breast cancer research, Panera offers the community the opportunity to pre-order Pink Ribbon Bagels. This option allows Panera Bread to fulfill the demand for Pink Ribbon Bagels while maximizing funds towards The American Cancer Society. For more information about Panera Bread, please visit
