North Babylon School District has been recognized as a “Best Community for Music” by the National Association of Music Merchants Foundation. This distinguished honor is awarded to school districts across the nation that demonstrate outstanding efforts and commitment to providing access to music education for all students.
“This is the 16th time North Babylon has received this prestigious award since 2003, a testament to the unwavering dedication of our music educators, students, and community,” said North Babylon School District’s Director of Music and Art Elizabeth O’Brien.
The NAMM Foundation assesses districts based on various criteria, including funding, curriculum and participation in music programs. This recognition highlights the district’s commitment to providing a comprehensive and high-quality music education to all students, equipping them with essential skills that extend far beyond the classroom.
“I want to express my gratitude to our music educators, students, families and community members who have supported and contributed to our success,” O’Brien said. “We look forward to continuing our mission to provide exceptional music education to our students and to uphold our district’s legacy of excellence.”
