North Babylon School District has launched two Saturday programs to support the district’s English Language Learners and parents of its Dual Language program.

North Babylon Connects With ELL Students And Families

The ENL Academy was created for students in grades three through eight to enhance English language development in math and English Language Arts content. The ENL Saturday Academy began on Feb. 4 and runs through April 29. The program is from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. There’s also an adult ENL component.

The second program is Resources and Tools for Dual Language Success, which began March. The four-week program is in collaboration with the Long Island Regional Bilingual Education Resource Network and is being facilitated by the organization Nuestro Terreno Común LLC. North Babylon High School is hosting the program, but it is open to parents of students any dual language program. Both programs will have culminating celebrations on their final day of meetings.
