On Oct. 19, the North Babylon High School marching band participated in the Newsday Marching Band Festival at the Mitchell Field Athletic Complex. The 129-member band performed their field show “The Magic Show” with music by Bruno Mars, Sting and the Beatles. The kickline performed three routines: dance, pom poms and flags. The band is under the direction of Christopher Wink and assistant directors Tiina Buehler and Robert Guza. The kickline and Color Guard are under the direction of Nicole Raymond. The band is led by drum majors Reese Rowland, Alicia DeFilippis, Catalina Pfeffer and field major Emma Walker. Kickline captains are Emma Buly, Jaymy Turcios and Natalee Glantz.
