Minnesauke Elementary School students in the school’s justice club organized a public display to honor Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. ahead of Black History Month. Fifth and sixth graders designed and created banners with influential quotes from Dr. King. The project turned into a schoolwide initiative as each of the banners has handprints on it from students of each grade level. The banners will be hung in the halls of Minnesauke as a reminder to all students to uphold the standards and philosophies of Dr. King.
