Manetuck Students Go Behind The Scenes At MacArthur

Fifth grade students from Manetuck Elementary School in West Islip School District recently spent the day at Long Island MacArthur Airport. They experienced the daily operations of a public airport while learning about various careers in the aviation field. Students spoke with members of the Transportation Security Administration, law enforcement, flight attendant, pilot, grounds crew, baggage handlers and airport fire chief. The students were accompanied by their teachers, school counselor Michelle Falco and West Islip School District Superintendent of Schools Dr. Paul Romanelli.
