Wantagh Middle School welcomes Rachel Quattrocchi as the new assistant principal, who assumes the role on Aug. 29. She replaces Dr. Stephanie Scolieri, who held the position for eight years before becoming the district’s director of human resources.

Additionally, she served as a mentor for new teachers and coordinated professional development sessions on literacy programs and digital learning strategies. Ms. Quattrocchi has also taught third, fifth and sixth grades in the Harborfields and Huntington school districts.

Ms. Quattrocchi is a Plainview resident and she holds a bachelor’s degree in elementary education, a master’s degree in literacy education and an advanced certificate in educational leadership, all from LIU Post. Ms. Quattrocchi completed administrative internships at Plainview-Old Bethpage Middle School and in the Bellmore-Merrick Central High School District.
“I am excited to lead alongside Principal Anthony Ciuffo,” Ms. Quattrocchi said of her new role in Wantagh. “I make it a priority to build and nurture strong relationships with students, staff, parents and community members.
