Legislator Steven J. Flotteron recognized the outstanding service of outgoing Great South Bay Power Squadron Commander James M. Milton during their annual “Change of Watch” ceremony attended by his fellow Squadron members. The Great South Bay Power Squadron is a unit of America’s Boating Club, formerly the United States Power Squadron, which was formed in 1914, and is the world’s largest private boating organization.
Commander Milton joined the Squadron in 2007, advanced his education by participating in many aspects of the Squadron. He has received 20 educational advancements and awards, earned 13 merit marks, and has served the organization as Webmaster, Asst. Educational Officer, Educational Officer, Executive Officer and Commander.
