Harborfields Students Go Green To Show Start With Hello Solidarity

Students at Thomas J. Lahey Elementary School and Washington Drive Primary School in the Harborfields Central School District wore green on Sept. 21 as a symbol of unity and solidarity during the schools’ Start With Hello week. Fourth graders at TJL also performed a Start With Hello play during health class, which helped teach them the importance of including others, while Washington Drive enjoyed wonderful balloon displays provided by the school’s PTA.

The Start with Hello initiative, created by Sandy Hook Promise, focuses on empathy and inclusiveness to prevent social isolation.
