Dozens of academic and program awards and scholarships were presented to Harborfields High School’s Class of 2024 on May 20 at the school’s annual Senior Awards Ceremony.
“This senior class entered this high school with some unique circumstances, to say the least, but as a solid group, they overcame challenges and figured out ways to be successful, making us all extremely proud along the way, Principal Dr. Marie Netto said. “They have proven themselves to be shining lights, and we will thoroughly miss them when they leave Harborfields. This evening, we are elated to celebrate the achievements of our remarkable seniors who have worked tirelessly over the past four years to reach this momentous milestone. This group of talented, intelligent and driven individuals have excelled in academics, athletics, arts and community service, and will undoubtedly leave a positive impact on our school and the wider community. This class embodies some of the core values of our school – hard work, perseverance, compassion and leadership – and has set an exceptional standard for future classes to follow.”
To conclude the ceremony, Dr. Netto introduced Class of 2024 valedictorian Tara Gosselin and salutatorian Brooke Cheskes as well as the rest of the top 10 in Harborfields’ graduating class: Allison Blosser, McKenzie Coleman, Kerri Gadamowitz, Erin Armstrong, Jackson Ferrara, Alexander Braunstein, Sukhtej Rana and Lucy MacInnes. The top 10 and their proud families then visited the school’s Wall of Scholars for the unveiling of the plaque inscribed with the students’ names.
