Global Youth Service Day Volunteer Fair And Toiletry Drive

The Town of Smithtown Youth Bureau will join more than 135 countries across the globe in celebration of Global Youth Service Day. On April 22nd, the Youth Bureau will hold a Volunteer Fair and Toiletry Drive from 12:30PM to 3:30PM. This event will take place in the Community Room of the Smithtown Library, located at 1 N Country Road in Smithtown. This Global Youth Service Day Initiative is being hosted by the Town of Smithtown Youth Bureau on behalf of the Smithtown Children’s Foundation and local temporary housing facilities.

Students have the opportunity to earn up to three hours of community service credit by collecting and donating certain personal care items that are in great need. The full list of required items can be viewed on the above flyer.

Middle School and High School student volunteers are also needed to assist during the Global Youth Service Day Event. Student volunteer tasks will include accepting donations, information tabling, sorting donations, and assembling donation bags. Students will earn community service credit for their time spent volunteering.
