Jason Ranghelli, the Creation Station teacher at Deer Park’s May Moore Primary School, was recently honored with the Association of Suffolk Supervisors for Educational Technologies’ Bright Light award. He was recognized by ASSET President Patrick Kiley-Rendon at an awards ceremony in January.

“Mr. Ranghelli has transformed our library into what we now call Creation Station, a mixture of literature and STEAM-based projects,” May Moore Principal Tammy Alcalde said. “He is creative in the hands-on learning our students participate in. Our students work collaboratively and utilize iPads to code and BeeBots for robotics, and build structures supporting engineering principles.”
