Deer Park High School’s SADD Club recently hosted Kindness Week, celebrating the many ways that students can become a positive influence in each other’s lives. The week culminated in a showcase in the main lobby, where SADD members greeted students by handing out information on the importance of kindness and how to spread kindness to both friends and strangers at the school. Students received encouraging notes, bookmarks and a list of 50 ways to participate in a random act of kindness in their daily lives.
“A small and random gesture of kindness can go a long way in making someone’s day,” SADD Club president David Perez said.
