Faculty and students recently partnered up for education at Deer Park High School’s
first annual Be-A-Teacher Day, hosted and organized by Teresa Greco’s PEN Society club
members.
Students approached teachers they admired and proposed acting as their student-
teacher. They planned a day of activities with their mentor and successfully worked
alongside them throughout the entire day, helping out in class, leading activities and even
teaching entire lessons to their peers.
“Being a teacher for one day may have been one of the hardest things I have done,
but it was so impactful,” Mohammed Fahad said.
