Lindenhurst Student And Staff Member Nominated For Outstanding Performances On Stage

Lindenhurst High School senior Heather Neumar and Musical Stage Director and
teacher Tyler Smalling recently received nominations for BroadwayWorld’s Regional
Awards.

The nominations were for two summer productions they each participated in at a
Lindenhurst theater called South Shore Theatre Experience. Heather received a nomination
for Best Actress in a Play for her role in a black box production of “Afflicted,” and Mr.
Smalling received a nomination for Best Supporting Actor in a Play for his role in a different
black box production, “The Scarecrow and Mrs. Gale.” Winners of the awards will be
announced in January.
