Centereach High School Career And Technical Education Students Honored With Scholarships

Centereach High School is delighted to announce that two of its exemplary Career and Technical Education students—Alexandra Gluck, a senior, and Vanessa Suarez, a junior—have been awarded prestigious scholarships, totaling $1,000 each, from the National Technical Honor Society (NTHS).

“We extend our sincerest congratulations to Alexandra Gluck and Vanessa Suarez on this well-deserved honor,” said Thomas Bell, principal of Centereach High School. “Their dedication to their education and their communities sets a remarkable example for their peers and inspires us all.”

Alexandra Gluck and Vanessa Suarez were selected as recipients of the esteemed Jon H. Poteat Scholarship in recognition of their consistent embodiment of the seven core attributes of the NTHS: Skill, Honesty, Service, Responsibility, Scholarship, Citizenship, and Leadership. Their commitment to excellence and dedication to their craft has distinguished them as shining examples within the Centereach High School community.

“We are incredibly proud of Alexandra and Vanessa for their outstanding achievements and contributions to our Career and Technical Education program,” said Michele Bradley and Traci Bernardino, Centereach High School NTHS advisors. “Their receipt of the Jon H. Poteat Scholarship is a testament to their hard work, integrity, and leadership qualities.”

Both Alexandra Gluck and Vanessa Suarez have demonstrated exceptional skill, integrity, and a commitment to service both within the classroom and in their extracurricular activities. Their receipt of this scholarship not only recognizes their accomplishments but also serves as a reflection of the high caliber of students within Centereach High School’s Career and Technical Education program.
