The New York State Office of Parks, Recreation, and Historic Preservation is pleased to announce that on Wednesday, March 16, 2022, at 1:00 PM the Long Island State Park Region will hold a virtual lottery to select permittees for use of softball fields at Bethpage State Park in Farmingdale and Belmont Lake State Park in North Babylon. The lottery will be conducted via WebEx and the specific details will be shared with all applicants.
Field availability is as follows:
Bethpage State Park (2 softball fields)
Available April 4, 2022 – August 7, 2022
Mondays – Fridays from 5:30PM – Dusk; and Sundays from 7:00AM – 11:00AM Black Out Dates: May 29th & 30th, 2022, additional dates may apply
Belmont Lake State Park (2 softball fields)
Available April 4, 2022 – August 12, 2022
Mondays – Fridays from 5:30PM – Dusk
Black Out Dates: July 4th & 11th, 2022, additional dates may apply
To obtain softball lottery applications, please contact the Permits Office at 631-321-3515, weekdays between 9:00 AM and 4:45 PM. All applications must be received no later than Wednesday, March 16, 2022, by 12:00 PM.
