Islip Town Supervisor Angie Carpenter and the Islip Town Board will kick off the Town’s 8th Annual Islip Goes Purple campaign on Wednesday, September 2, at 4:00 p.m. with the annual lighting of the Islip Town Hall cupola in purple.

The month-long initiative raises awareness of mental health, substance use disorder, addiction, and overdose while recognizing September as Recovery Awareness Month. Islip Goes Purple unites the Town of Islip with community organizations, healthcare professionals, advocates, and residents to promote awareness, prevention, recovery, and hope.
